Bio

SiXFormer Drown singer Lauren Boquette along with Alfunction (guitar), Nate Bowers (drums) and Corey Bush (bass) formed SiX in 2001. Their first release was an EP called “When The Beauty’s Gone” (1605 Records). SiX played all over America and Canada throughout 2001-2004; with the likes of Clutch, Gwar, Dope, Hed Pe, Saliva, Coal Chamber, and countless other local and regional bands.

In 2004, the band returned to their rehearsal / recording studio, “The Asylum”, to cook up new music for their full length debut. It became the dark, heavy groove, metal onslaught, titled, “The Price Of Faith”, which hit stores in February, 2005 (1605 Records). Once again they toured their asses off all over America, and even dippin’ down into Mexico; rockin’ with everyone from Dry Kill Logic, Slipknot, Fear Factory, Chimira, Nevermore, Arch Enemy & a ton of other great bands.

They ended almost 2 years of touring and entered the rehearsal studio again, to start writing a new album. 27 songs were written, and many of the new songs were debuted live in front of sold out shows with Clutch, legendary punk gods the Germs, & Disturbed. – MySpace

Interview

With singer Lauren Boquette

CM: First off, any chance of a new Drown album?
LB: It’s coming…..and sooner than you think.

CM: I have the “Hollywood Rocks” compilation CDs and Yesterday’s Tear (Drown’s original name) is included with bands like Keel, LA Guns, Dokken, etc. You guys were the only band on the comp that didn’t wear makeup and hairspray or are there some old photos floating around like the early Pantera pics?
LB: Nope there sure isn’t. We were part of and very influenced by a cool scene in L.A, a very eclectic underground world (same world where Jane’s Addiction came from)….
